Ken Watts, author of “The Daily Mull” posted a very interesting article today regarding something called the “Misery Index”. The article is entitled “Jeffrey Sachs, Charles Dickens, and our National Budget Debate”: http://dailymull.com/2181/Jeffrey-Sachs-Charles-Dickens-and-our-National-Budget-Debate
“So Ireland, with a very low revenue and the highest spending of the group, also has the highest Misery Index.” “Norway, with the highest revenue and low spending, has the lowest Misery Index.”
Your intellectual challenge is to read Mr. Watt's article and find out where the U.S. stands on this “Misery Index” and what, some would say, are SOME common sense solutions to SOME of our country’s problems.
Up to the challenge? See if you can actually research a dramatically important question WITHOUT depending on FOX, or O’Reilly, or whomever to propagandize you.
P.S. So you could easily find the Jeffrey Sachs article mentioned by Mr. Watts, here you go: “The Super Committee’s Big Lie”: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/mobileweb/jeffrey-sachs/the-super-committees-big_b_1103700.htmlSent
