With all the talk of bailouts, sometimes we lose sight of how much one trillion dollars is. Personally, I don’t know anybody who has seen a trillion, so it’s difficult to grasp how big it really is.

Just one note of caution: this information came from a Republican (though I believe trustworthy) source. This source is, knowingly or unknowingly, part of the scare campaign trying to use this huge number as a SCARE tactic.
However, I believe that this number is simply indicitive of the SCALE of the problem that irresponsibility, corruption, greed, crime and extremist "Free" Market thought has gotten us in to. In fact, this trillion dollars represents only a FRACTION of the problem we are now faced with.
